The word LUNAWÍ is a symbolic aspect that means “the meeting of the Moon with the Sun”. It was from this perception that the work with Freehand Tattoo and Symbolic Art was born. The great inspiration for the project comes from my constant search for reconnection with nature — both outside and inside. 

Contact with nature was a daily occurrence for our ancestors. And that is also why similar symbols are seen repeatedly in different cultures. The sun, the moon, animals, the elements. The serpent, wings. Working with the symbolism of nature makes it possible to somehow express the intention of reconnecting with existence on the skin. 

The art I share here is the truth of my soul — and the truth is simple. It just is. What you see here is much of what I loved doing most as a child — painting and drawing. 

Today I realize and recognize that this is one of the missions of the LUNAWÍ project. To manifest simplicity. To encourage transformations and crossings. To transform pain into art. To clear the mind with beauty and harmony. To be a listening space for those who come to ritualize. 

Here I leave my deep and sincere intention that this project may increasingly be a space for transformative experiences that reveal the power of each person through symbols and nature. I increasingly understand the healing potential of ART — for those who create and for those who receive it.
